LAS VEGAS - Investigators questioned O.J. Simpson about a break-in at
a casino hotel room involving sports memorabilia, police said Friday.

The break-in was reported at the Palace Station casino late Thursday
night, police spokesman Jose Montoya said.

Simpson was released and is believed to be in Las Vegas, Montoya said.

"We don't believe he's going anywhere," he said.

The Heisman Trophy winner, ex-NFL star and actor had been scheduled to
give a deposition Friday in Miami in a bankruptcy case involving his
eldest daughter. But it was canceled because Simpson had told
attorneys that he would be out of town.

Simpson lives near Miami and has been a tabloid staple since he
murdered his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman
were murdered in 1994.

Simpson was acquitted of murder charges, but a jury later held him
liable for the killings in a wrongful death lawsuit.

Investigators in the casino case planned to give their report to
prosecutors Friday, Montoya said. The district attorney's office will
decide whether to pursue charges.

A Simpson attorney in Florida, Yale L. Galanter, did not immediately
return phone messages seeking comment.

LAS VEGAS - Investigators questioned O.J. Simpson about a break-in at
a casino hotel room involving sports memorabilia, police said Friday.
A lawyer for Fred Goldman, the father of one of two people Simpson was accused of stabbing
to death in 1994, said the sports memorabilia dealer, Alfred Beardsley, had reported the
robbery to police.

"I was told by Mr. Beardsley that he was robbed at gunpoint by O.J. Simpson in a hotel
room in Las Vegas," said Goldman lawyer David Cook. "He has given a report to the Las
Vegas police."

Beardsley did not immediately return messages left by Reuters but told celebrity Web site
TMZ.com in an interview that Simpson and his associates stormed into his hotel room, guns
drawn, and took items of memorabilia connected to Simpson.

What does Goldman have to do with this? Yeah, I know he
owns the rights to the book, but not OJ's entire life.

BUT....think about it. Someone knew that this stuff was going
to be sold, and OJ got tipped off. Sounds like a good set-up
for a book deal, to me.

That's not my point. I'm wondering why Goldman's attorney
is the spokesman for this event. If you were a member of
the press, would you go to Goldman's attorney to find out
what happened in Vegas? I'd call the cops to find out, but
I guess that's just me.

Ha. You don't think the press had Goldman's mouthpiece on the line in
like... oh... 60 seconds flat?

It didn't say when Fred found out about it, just that the lawyer relayed
the story back to the dipshit reporters who had called him.

Not just you...for one thing, it's the public as opposed to a
reporter looking to dramatize this latest of the criminal's
shenanigans.

Anyway, there's a good reason for Goldman to be involved here.
O.J. "The Real Killer" Simpson owes him 33 million dollars, and
apparently Goldman is in a position to grab anything of value
from the butcher until that claim is satisfied. That's one of
the reasons why Simpson chose to continue his new career as a
criminal in another state.

* -------------The alt.fan.oj-simpson FAQ-------------*
*Q1: Did The Real Killer walk away from the carcasses *
* at Bundy with O.J. Simpson's blood dripping from *
* a cut on his left hand? *
* A: Yes. *

I think maybe at this point whatever OJ does the press and possibly the
public are going to look to the Goldmans to get their reaction to it. I
think their lives from now on are inextricably intertwined.

I'm thinking that the connection could be that the person selling the
memorabilia would be dealing a fair bit with Goldman's lawyer, won't the
results of the sale go towards paying off the settlement?
The dealer may have rung Goldman's lawyer to let him know that the sale
won't be going ahead and told him what happened.

LAS VEGAS - Investigators questioned O.J. Simpson about a break-in at
a casino hotel room involving sports memorabilia, police said Friday.
A lawyer for Fred Goldman, the father of one of two people Simpson was
accused of stabbing
to death in 1994, said the sports memorabilia dealer, Alfred Beardsley,
had reported the
robbery to police.
What does Goldman have to do with this? Yeah, I know he
owns the rights to the book, but not OJ's entire life.
BUT....think about it. Someone knew that this stuff was going
to be sold, and OJ got tipped off. Sounds like a good set-up
for a book deal, to me.
Kris
His stuff belongs to Goldman.
I'd forgotten that, thanks. It sounds like Goldman was the
one who hired the "broker" to sell it, and OJ found out?

There was a time, long ago, when I thought Simpson was attractive and
full of charisma.

Now, the thought of being near him is nauseating. He is really an ugly
ugly man.

Beardsley did not immediately return messages left by Reuters but told celebrity Web site
TMZ.com in an interview that Simpson and his associates stormed into his hotel room, guns
drawn, and took items of memorabilia connected to Simpson.

Hopefully he did it and will actually do some time. God knows he
deserves to do time for everything he's done. I don't often use the
word, but he really is a NIGGER.

The word NIGGER is a strong word...if you were in public with a group
of African Americans who HATE OJ just like you and you said that OJ
was a real NIGGER...they would hate you just for saying that
word...even though they also hate OJ...The media would put it all
togeher and make a ton of money off of YOU. Here is a way to spread
OJs guilt around the globe and actually make money by doing so. This
video:
http://one.revver.com/watch/408817 will do it all. Just view it
and follow the instructions.

------- FOLKS NEED TO EASE UP ON SIMPSON ... O.J. DIDN'T ACQUIT
HIMSELF!

HIS "FELLOW" MINORITIES ON THE JURY EMPLOYED THE CONCEPT OF
"NULLIFICATION" ...

...to secure his release. The jury's blacks, desiring to give
"payback" to the white "community" for 250 years of "oppression,"
voted NOT GUILTY in spite of the overwhelming evidence to the
contrary! The rest of the jury had little choice but to acquiesce,
unless they wished to be separated from their families for an
additional, indeterminate period of time.

NULLIFICATION. It's a tactic the soon-to-be Confederate States used
before the Civil War to ignore or "nullify" federal laws that hobbled
slavery.

So, don't heap TOTAL opprobrium upon Simpson just because he walked.
He needed help, and he got it.

As for the Vegas caper, he'll beat this, too!

Wait and see ... and you'll know why.

Galanter, did not immediately
return phone messages seeking comment.
